thedivinearcadia:
[grimaces] A cheap trick for such a noble being. [discards his cards and draws a new hand] Perhaps these next few turns I may not be able to get to your monsters, but that will not last long.
[looks at the cards in his hand] Alright, pharaoh, I’ll summon Psychic Snail in attack mode. I then place two cards face-down and end my turn.
[frowns, wishing he had a certain card in his hand]
…
//Divine’s monsters can’t attack right now. Still, I have to think of some strategy to counter his Thought Ruler Archfiend…//
[concentrates and draws a card]
I play Pot of Greed, which allows me to draw two more cards. [announces, before he draws two more cards]
Thanks to its effect, I special summon Watapon in defense position. [plays one of the cards he just drew] Also I normal summon Gemini Elf, in defense position as well, and play this card face down.
I end my turn.
[crosses his arms and frowns]
//I have to come up with something better… I must not lose this battle!//
(Dear citizens. I am not absent, nor leaving or whatsoever. The battle with Divine just turned out to be much more difficult than expected. I shall answer all your kind messages and inquiries as soon as possible, be assured, I have not forgotten about you. I do not doubt my return will be soonish, I howsoever would greatly appreciate your spiritual succor. I apologize for the unfortunate course of events. The Pharaoh.)
thedivinearcadia:
[frowns as his life points drop] Ah, my pharaoh, it would do you good to avoid insulting my dueling skills. Lest you forget, I thrive off suffering. In addition, your outdated deck could never stand a chance against my synchro deck of ultimate power!
And now, I play Double Summon so I can summon my Mind Master in attack mode! The magic of Brain Research Lab also allows me to normal summon one extra psychic-type monster this turn at the cost of adding one psychic counter to that card… As such, I additionally summon Psychic Commander in attack mode!
[grins widely] Taste the ultimate suffering, pharaoh. Go! Mind Master, combine with Pandaborg and Psychic Commander! Psychic tuning! [a huge flash of light appears and engulfs the monsters] Come, my Thought Ruler Archfiend! Crush the pharaoh with overwhelming power! You have nothing to protect you, all-powerful pharaoh! Hahaha! Let’s see what your puny Celtic Guardian can do against my signature monster. My turn ends.
Damn… [whispers, covering his face with his arm to avoid the wind and dust blown in his direction as his monster gets destroyed. He glares to Divine.]
It’s my turn then! …[He looks at his cards]
//Hmm… Those cards won’t help me to defeat Divine… What should I do…?// [closes his eyes] //I have to trust into the heart of cards.// [draws a card and opens his eyes again, glancing at the card.] //Good.//
[looks up to Divine]
I play Card Destruction. Each one of us discards our hands and draws an equal number of cards from the deck. [does what he has just announced and his face lightens up a little as he sees his newly drawn cards.]
Then I play the Swords of Revealing Light, preventing your monsters to attack for the next three turns and set this monster in face-down defense position.
I end my turn.
[crosses his arms and continues to plan his strategy]
//I have to be careful… Divine is no opponent to be underestimated.//

Keep your filthy hands off my puzzle, Bakura!
